Description

Well, actually the WEDNESDAY night before….

Dorian, that is. 25X25″ Giclee on canvas, specially framed.

Abaco Inn – Wednesday August 28, 2019, 10:30 pm.  The mood around the bar was as special as I have ever seen it.  Spirits were elevated because homes were under contract, sales were pending, art was being sold, the wine was flowing.  There was a Cat 1 storm headed our way, but it was due to weaken before it got to us, with an OUTSIDE possibility of a Cat 2 AT THE MOST, so all was well.   I had a plane ticket  back to the States on Friday for Surf Expo in Orlando.

Dorian made landfall at that very spot on Sunday morning, September 1.  Life as we all knew it changed drastically.

Six months later, things were different, and life on Elbow Cay was very very good again. And, the Abaco Inn was up and running in October, giving us all back a sense of “normalcy”.

I wasn’t going to make prints, but a persistent MOW couple asked Tom if I could reproduce it for them, which he agreed to.  I brought the pieces back to the States and had them photographed and printed, and Mark made another triptych frame for them.  It’s available as a framed reproduction if you are interested.

One size: approx 25×25″ total in a triptych frame.  $1500.

There will be a bit of a wait after you order as frame is custom made by Mark.  Thanks!
